Listen to This: Maryland's Cotton Jones
Just heard Cotton Jones' new song, "Glorylight and Christie," on one of my favorite blogs, Muzzle of Bees. I enjoyed it, so of course I wanted to spread the good music your way! It has a very simple, light-hearted folksy sound to it. Click their pic for their myspace, and HERE to check out and download the song. And, if you'll be in Chicago on Saturday, July 31, you can check them out live at Schubas!

She & Him Played Millennium Park
Way back in the days of music per diem, I posted about the FREE Millennium Park concert with She & Him. I attempted to attend the show last night, but even though I was there, and even though I knew it was happening, I never saw She & Him. I heard them from about a million yards away through some giant speakers, but that's as close as the ginormous crowd would allow me to get. I still had fun, and decided to take a few pictures as I people watched. Can't lie though, I was half-tempted to rush the stage and ask Zoe if she could get me her sister's autograph.
Check out some pictures and some She & Him tunes below.

Fish Compose Music in this Live Art Exhibit
Found this on TRENDHUNTER with the subtitle 'Quintetto' by Quiet Ensemble Turns Aquariums Into Interactive Music Installation.
This is pretty amazing. There are five fish, each in their own vertical aquarium. A different sound coordinates with each tank, and as the fish swim up and down the pitch of that sound changes. By combining the sounds created by all five fish, they compose a truly original piece of music. Check it out!
