A Few Things I Love from NY's Fashion Week

New York hosts two fashion weeks each year, one in February and one in September. September's is taking place now, and my time-crunched self is experiencing it mostly through photos on The Daily Beast. A few caught my eye, so I'm sharing them with you here so that those of you even too time-crunched to venture to The Daily Beast can see a bit of what's going down. If you like what you see, I encourage you to head to The Daily Beast or NY Fashion Week's site to check out more.

Vera Wang - with all her wedding dresses and Kohl's lines, I sometimes forget how fabulous she is. I love this.
Diane von Furstenberg is another favorite, and I love the hoods!
Donna Karan said she was going for a natural, weed and seed influenced, affect. I think this look is fabulous.
Beautiful Doo.Ri shoes.
Two looks from Marc Jacobs. I like them both, but what really caught my eye was the parallel angles on the left model of the shoe strap and the dress. Was that planned? I think it's stunning.
I don't especially love this look, by Mulberry, I just wonder if Florence was his muse.

Fashionable Headphones Can Make You Look Stupid or Awesome

I'm surprised to see the dramatic variety of fashionable headphones available today. I'm currently rockin' some classic Bose headphones, but a few of these new designs caught my eye. I'm really liking the earring earbuds as a minimalist option. Those I might spend money on. However, if you gifted me the faux hair or Thriller inspired headphones, they'd not only be re-gifted but I'd also be reconsidering our friendship. I found these on TRENDHUNTER in a feature with 81 headphone designs. You can check them all out HERE.

More and More People Wearing Socks with Shoes

And I don't mean with tennis shoes, or some other sort of shoe that requires socks. I'm talking sock fashions of the 80's. First thought = "aaaccckkkk!" followed quickly by a second thought = "really?" I posted a few images below that I've seen recently of socks making an all-too-visible come back. However, this top photo was the inspiration for the post (seen originally HERE). The way that sock is worn I at first thought it was part of the shoe! If you can be that creative and stylish with your sock wearage, more power to you. However, I'm not totally convinced to hop on this bandwagon. We'll see...

More power to you

aaaccckkkk! Really?

Fashion Gallery Promoting a "First Slayer" Look?

I'm a super huge Buffy fan, so when I saw the fashion gallery called "Ghostly Get-Ups: The Latest Garland Coo Collection Sabotoges Stereotypes of The Black Forest" on TRENDHUNTER, I immediately thought of the first slayer. Of the pics below, can you tell which are from the fashion shoot and which is from Buffy? I'm sure you at least see the resemblance, or dare I say, inspiration. ;)

Love.

Saw these on because im addicted, and they make me happy and sad at the same time. Happy such beautiful shoes exist in this world. Sad I don't/can't have them.

Love... Unattainable love.
