My Pitchfork Plan

I'm SO excited. :)
Pitchfork, Lollapalooza, and Christmas = my favorite times of the year.
SO excited.

I thought I'd share with you all my plan for this weekend. If you think I'm missing out on someone fabulous, please let me know before it's too late! (remember, click their pic for music)

The Tallest Man on Earth, 4:00 (c)

Liars, 5:30 (c)

Broken Social Scene, 7:20 (c)

Modest Mouse, 8:30 (a) - LOVED their show at the Aragon

I'd also like to check out some of the comedians scheduled, but I'm not sure who I'll make it to. Any suggestions?

Netherfriends, 1:00 (b) - I'm tempted to see what Free Energy can do live, but I like Netherfriends' music more, so we'll see if I catch a bit of both.

Real Estate, 1:45 (c) or Sonny & the Sunsets, 1:55 (b) = I'm not sure yet.

Delorean, 2:30 (a)

Titus Andronicus, 3:20 (c)

The Smith Westerns, 4:45 (b) - Not entirely sure why these guys are such a big deal, but I'm hoping to understand better after their live show.

The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, 5:15 (c)

Wolf Parade, 6:15 (a)

LCD Soundsystem, 8:30 (a) - !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'd like to sneak around and catch Bear in Heaven and Panda Bear between Wolf Parade and LCD, but I probably won't. I'm likely going to try and get a decent spot for LCD Soundsystem, which is likely to be one of my top favorite moments of 2010. LOVE This is Happening, and so much of his previous work, that I'm going to sacrifice the other bands.

Cave, 1:00 (b) - Awesome rock and roll.

Here We Go Magic, 1:45 (c)

Girls, 2:30 (a) - Really liked Album, and pretty interested to see how it translates live.

Local Natives, 3:45 (b)

Surfer Blood, 4:45 (b)

St. Vincent, 5:15 (c)

Neon Indian, 6:45 (b)

Sleigh Bells, 7:40 (b)

Pavement, 8:30 (a)

Also, I know there's a slew of after-parties. I'm not planning those out, since I may be old and tired after the fest. But, I am going to try and head to the Beauty Bar tomorrow for a FREE first-come-first-serve after-party hosted by Venus Zine featuring DJ sets from Delorean, Real Estate, and Headlights.

A happy Pitchfork to you all!
